DesignDrafter
Social Media Marketing for an AI SaaS Platform in the AEC Industry

DesignDrafter is an AI-powered architecture design software built for modern AEC professionals. The platform lets architects, engineers, MEP consultants, EPC contractors, and product manufacturers generate intelligent floor plans, automate MEP and civil calculations, convert CAD files into BIM-ready Revit models, and extract accurate quantity takeoffs, all within a single unified workspace, with outputs aligned to Indian building codes and standards such as NBC, IS, ECBC, and ASHRAE.
As an early-stage product introducing a genuinely new category, AI automation layered on top of traditional AEC tools, DesignDrafter needed more than awareness. It needed to educate a technical, skeptical professional audience, establish credibility, and build a consistent brand presence that could support trial sign-ups. The engagement covered social media marketing across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, supported by a founder-led LinkedIn presence to add a human, authoritative voice to the brand.
The Challenge
Marketing a technical B2B SaaS product to the AEC industry on social media is very different from consumer or lifestyle marketing. The audience is expert, time-poor, and rightly cautious about tools that touch code-compliant, high-stakes engineering work. Several conditions shaped the program.
A new category to explain
AI-generated floor plans, automated MEP calculations, and CAD-to-Revit automation are unfamiliar concepts to many practitioners. The content had to teach the category, not just promote a product, and overcome the assumption that AI cannot be trusted with technical, code-bound work.
A niche, credibility-sensitive audience
Architects, MEP consultants, and EPC contractors respond to proof, accuracy, and professional relevance, not hype. Every post had to earn credibility with a discerning expert audience.
A multi-persona product
DesignDrafter serves architects, engineers, contractors, and manufacturers, each with different pains (layout speed, calculation accuracy, BOQ effort, BIM conversion time). Messaging had to speak to several personas without becoming generic.
One brand voice across very different platforms
LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook each reward different formats and tones, and a founder-led profile plays a different role again. The challenge was to stay consistent in brand and message while adapting the execution to each channel.
The Objective
The engagement was guided by clear goals. The first was to build awareness and understanding of DesignDrafter as a new category of AI architecture software, translating complex capabilities into content a busy professional could grasp quickly.
The second was to establish credibility and trust with the AEC community, using education, product proof, and code-compliance messaging to position the platform as accurate and professional rather than gimmicky. The third was to build a consistent, recognizable brand presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, and to activate a founder-led LinkedIn voice for authority and reach. Ultimately, all of this was designed to support the top-of-funnel that feeds free-trial sign-ups.
The Solution
The solution was a platform-specific social media program built on clear content pillars, a distinct role for each channel, and a founder-led layer for authority.
Channel roles
Rather than posting the same content everywhere, each platform was given a job. LinkedIn carried the B2B core, thought leadership, product education, and professional credibility aimed at architects, engineers, and firms. Instagram carried the visual story, AI-generated floor plans, 3D renders, before-and-after CAD-to-BIM transformations, and short-form reels that made the technology tangible. Facebook extended reach and reinforced awareness and community across a broader AEC audience.
Founder-led LinkedIn
A dedicated founder presence humanized the brand and built authority, sharing the vision for AI in the AEC industry, product thinking, and category education. Founder-led content typically earns stronger organic reach and trust than a brand handle alone, giving DesignDrafter a credible voice in professional conversations.
Content pillars
The calendar was organized around repeatable themes: product education (how AI floor plans, MEP calculations, and BOQs work), feature spotlights and demos, industry pain points and time-savings, code-compliance and accuracy proof (NBC, IS, ECBC, ASHRAE), CAD-to-Revit transformations, and thought leadership on AI in architecture and engineering. This kept the feed varied while consistently reinforcing the core value proposition.
Creative and copy
Visuals were designed to showcase the product's outputs (layouts, renders, model conversions) in a clean, professional style consistent with the brand, paired with copy that led with the practitioner's problem and the concrete time or accuracy benefit, and a clear call to action toward the free trial.
The Impact
The program gave DesignDrafter a strong, consistent presence across Facebook and Instagram and put the brand in front of a large audience.
On Facebook, between 1 March and 1 August 2026, the content reached 2.2 million views and 1,850,421 unique viewers, with over 20 minutes of total watch time. This made Facebook the main reach channel, building wide awareness for the DesignDrafter brand and its AI design tools.

Instagram delivered similar scale with stronger engagement. Over the same period, Instagram content reached 2.2 million views (2,218,066), a total reach of around 2 million accounts, and 711 content interactions. Posts of AI-generated floor plans, 3D renders, CAD-to-BIM transformations, and reels showed the product in action and kept a design-focused audience engaged.

Alongside Facebook and Instagram, we also managed DesignDrafter's LinkedIn presence, covering both the company page and a founder-led profile. LinkedIn carried the B2B side of the story, sharing product education and thought leadership on AI in the AEC industry to build professional credibility and authority with architects, engineers, and firms.
Together, these channels delivered reach, credibility, and authority, giving DesignDrafter a solid social media foundation to support awareness and free-trial demand as the product grows.
Conclusion
This engagement shows how platform-specific social media marketing can build awareness and credibility for a technical, new-category B2B SaaS product. By giving each channel a clear role, organizing content around education and proof, and activating a founder-led LinkedIn voice, the program translated DesignDrafter's complex AI capabilities into content the AEC audience could grasp and trust, establishing a consistent brand presence and an always-on content engine to support free-trial demand.
