Frequently asked questions
Is RETS deprecated?
Not yet. But RESO Web API is the standard going forward. Most MLSs are migrating; some haven't yet. We support both.
Why not just use a RETS vendor?
Vendors are fine if your needs match theirs. Custom RETS when you need control over data model, page structure, or modernization timing.
DMQL2 query limits?
Yes. Most RETS feeds throttle queries. We optimise for incremental sync (modified-since queries) to avoid hitting limits.
Photo handling?
Download via RETS GetObject, optimise, CDN-host. Caches respect MLS update timestamps.
RETS → RESO migration?
Phased dual-write. Both feeds running, dual-update, then cutover. 8–10 week typical timeline.
RETS authentication?
Basic, Digest, or User-Agent. Varies by MLS; we configure per feed.
